In 1994, our founder and CEO, H. Dawn Patrick-Wout decided to leave a successful career as a mental health administrator and advocate to pursue her passion for interior design. Dawn blazed into her new career armed with a genuine love for people. She set out to create a design firm that would revolutionize the way people think about interior design. Creative Re-Designs, Inc. was established in 1994 and for more than a decade, we have been meeting the design needs of Washington Area homeowners and businesses. “I know that people are transformed when their living and work spaces reflect their true inner selves,” says Mrs. Patrick-Wout.

In an effort to augment our design services, in 2001, we opened About Interiors , a retail showroom, committed to offering design services that not only beautify spaces, but also enrich lives. Beautiful furnishings, hand-selected from reputable vendors, are displayed throughout this two-story showroom. The décor represents an eclectic mix of styles – from contemporary to traditional and pieces are available for purchase off the floor or through custom order.

In addition to offering quality furnishings and design services, we are committed to giving back to the community. In 1996, we established Happy Places = Happy Faces, a nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to the revitalization of children’s spaces. More recently, we have created the Celebrating Family Series of workshops facilitated by local home and family experts.
